CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP & CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE PROGRAM

An agreement has been reached with the Chinese Representative for the Confucius Institute,Professor Hu Liangcai of University of Cape Coast (UCC) in Ghana for the commencement of a Chinese Confucius programme in the University Practices Senior High School,Cape Coast. This programme will enable interested students and teachers to learn Chinese language and culture which will further strengthen the relationship between Ghana and China. These programme will benefit the school in several ways. It will go a long way to provide infrastructure such as ICT laboratory,classrooms and library in the school. Integration of Chinese Language into Ghanaian Educational Curriculum

Several talks has been going between the headmistress of UPSHS Mrs.Pualina Yankah and Chinese Director of Confucius institute Ucc for the integration of Chinese Language into Ghanaian Educational Curriculum. A meeting was held between the headmistress,Prof Hun and Regional Director of Education to identify the need for learning the Chinese language.Within the meeting they suggested that a proposal should be written to the Director General of Education.
